She stood tall,
limbs sinewy,
in the dapple blue
of autumnal day.
And when she danced
a shimmer of gold- leaf,
cascading alley blade,
I languished in her shade.
Each folia upturned,
splashed of memories unearthed.
I thanked her for the stroll,
her misty hillock lore,
then lumbered once again
toward the fork,
that took me home.
